UPDATE - MARCH 20

Justin Trudeau’s Liberals have shut down the Justice Committee’s investigation into Trudeau’s SNC-Lavalin corruption scandal.

This is an abuse of power, an affront to democracy, and an attack on parliament.

We know that Justin Trudeau politically interfered in the criminal prosecution of SNC-Lavalin by pressuring his attorney general to let them off the hook. We know he fired her when she refused. Now, he is silencing parliament by unilaterally shutting down the only public investigation into this corruption affair.

There can now be no doubt that Justin Trudeau is covering up the very worst elements of the SNC-Lavalin corruption scandal. This is corruption on top of corruption on top of corruption.

Justin Trudeau bullied and threatened his Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould to stop the criminal prosecution of SNC-Lavalin - a company charged with bribing Libyan dictator Muammar Gadaffi.
When she wouldn’t, he fired her.

Trudeau continues to blame Ms. Wilson-Raybould for the corruption scandal that has engulfed his government.

But he won’t let her tell her side of the story.

Canadians need to hear from Jody Wilson-Raybould. Justin Trudeau must waive solicitor-client privilege so she can speak the truth.

We know he threatened her. What were those threats?

We know he fired her as Attorney General. Why?

We know she resigned from cabinet. Why?

Only Jody Wilson-Raybould can say.

On Wednesday, the Justice Committee will decide whether or not to invite Jody Wilson-Raybould to testify and answer these questions.
